We all look forward to the holidays, it has to be my favorite times of the year. The family gatherings, endless amounts of food, christmas carols, gift wrapping, and christmas decorations. The holiday season can also bring in some not so needed stress and with stress sometimes our body can react with some unpleasant reactions. With so much to get accomplished to survive and conquer the holiday season sometimes you may not commit the time to take care of your body or have the extra cash to indulge in a spa day for yourself. Here are some DIY skin tips that can be done in your home with ingredients that you have in your pantry that will allow you to have a mini spa moment without breaking the bank or stinging your holiday budget.
Berry Merry Mask: Grab a handful of blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries place them in a bowl. Mash and mix them until you have created a think fruit juice. With your finger tips, massage the berry mixture all over your face and top of your neck under your face. Let it sit until it dries, then rise with warm water. Berries have antioxidants and vitamin E leaving your skin feeling brighter.
Strawberry Jam Eye Treatment: To remove the puff, dark circles, or lines around your eyes, take fingertips of strawberry jam and massage the jam under your eyes before bedtime and let it sit until morning time. Strawberry jam has alpha hydroxy acids, antioxidants, and vitamin E that will soothe the skin to leave your eyes looking as if you had the best sleep of your life.
Pumpkin Harvest Mask: You can use puree pumpkin mixture or fresh pumpkin you will need a cup in total and the mixture has to be whisked until its thick, then combine it with a teaspoon of lemon juice and mix both solutions together. Massage the mixture all over your face and top of your neck under your face and let it sit until it dries, them remove it with warm water. Pumpkins are filled with vitamin A which are the primary ingredient for anti-aging and the lemons have citric acid that helps remove dead cells and reduce dark spots.
Coconut Hand Rescue: Take a cup of coconut oil and a spoonful of sugar and mix the solution together. Massage the mixture on both sides of your hands and under your finger nails, then rinse with cool water and pat dry.
Yummy Hair Mummification: Combine a tablespoon of plain yogurt, a tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon olive oil in a bowl. Apply to damp hair for 15 minutes and rise. You can then dry your hair and style it as normal. This hair mask leaves your hair smoother and vibrant.
