La Roche-Posay has introduced My UV Patch which is a transparent adhesive measuring one square inch in area and 50 micrometers which contains photosensitive dyes that change colors when exposed to UV rays at multiple levels of skin exposure. You will be able to take a photo of the patch and upload the image to the La Roche-Posay My UV Patch mobile app that will analyze the patch to determine the amount of UV exposure you have received. The patch can be placed anywhere on your body and should last about five days. The data collected will allow L’Oreal to continue to improve their skin care products.
