When I was a kid my parents never took us on a vacation that required a plane ride, my sister and I knew that when my parents said they were planning a vacation it meant it was actually a road trip. My father would say it is time for the “Carretera” and then were off. I was born in Massachusetts and moved down to Florida late in my teens so I can happily say that the road trips they planned were all amazing from exploring some history to visiting a theme park my parents had it covered.
